Social Events

Weddings, Showers, Birthday Parties, Retirement

Scent of the pine. That’s the sense that brings me right back to my family Christmas party and hunting down the perfect tree for HOURS with my Dad in the crisp winter air. The smell of roast beef carries me to Christmas morning as we awoke to the aroma of simmering beef, onions, and Mom’s secret ingredient, coffee. I can still feel the itch of my sweater and the pride I wore along with my glittery stockings as I put on my absolute best before the family came over for the holiday supper.

In planning an event, it’s all about the “small stuff”. Just as in life, it can be the littlest elements that make a moment, draw us to tears, or remind us of a particular fondness we hold in our hearts. By getting to know every client, Kimberly see’s more than just their idea for a party, but their entire heart and vision. In building a relationship with each person, no detail goes forgotten..and neither does any event.

Fundraising + Corporate

Galas, company picnics, donor appreciation

Nowadays, with access to the world at our fingertips, there exists an irony in that we are sometimes left with a feeling of being out of touch. It may be with our clients, our community, our students, our children, our employees, our donors, or even ourselves.

Whenever, Kim finds herself in a whirlwind of emotions, thoughts buzzing about and a mind that is overstimulated and oversaturated with noise, she takes a moment to stop..breathe..and simplify. Taking a step back to look at the bigger picture allows us to zone in deeper and deeper on the very specific (and often simple things) we really want.

A Walk in the Park Events will guide you in reconnecting to the things that matter by reconnecting with the people that matter. Expanding your network is important but keeping your network and maintaining relationships is invaluable. Honor the people in your circle by getting together - for pleasure, for team building, for retreat.

When one is provided with “a seat at the table”, it represents an opportunity to be heard and to make a difference. Who will you invite to your table?

Large Scale Events + Festivals

Music, Art, Community

If you know Kim, you may know that she grew up as the second youngest of seven children. She also grew up with a love of the arts - choir, musicals, drum line, crafts…

Knowing this about Kim might help you to understand that with so much fiery passion and excitement for the arts paired with an eagerness to please and earn her spot in the pack, Kimberly’s mind became an explosion of ideas, color and song.

That being said, she recognized there was something more calling her than producing art via the outlets she grew up knowing in high school. After discovering the world of Arts Administration, Kim went on to work a good many years realizing her dream to further cultivate the very ideals and art forms in which she so strongly believes. Possibly the most important to her, Kim is regularly inspired by, in awe of and supporting events and festivals that center around community, environment, and art for the greater good.
